Knuckles is an Attack Assist Trophy. Knuckles will run up to the closest opponent and punch them powerfully. Upon punching them, a small cut scene will play in which the opponent that was punched is knocked onto a Shuttle Loop in the Green Hill Zone. Knuckles will run at full speed through the Shuttle Loop and use the momentum to deliver a single punch capable of launching the opponent off of the stage.

- Knuckles is the only Assist Trophy to have their own cut scene play upon using an attack.
- Knuckles was planned to be playable but was scrapped as a fighter and put as an Assist Trophy; his attack as an Assist Trophy would have been his Final Smash.
