Abyss is a stage in Super Smash Bros. World Warriors that is actually primarily based on the Broken Bridge from Devil May Cry.
Overview[]
This stage consists of several floating platforms of varying sizes that fly around in seemingly random patterns. The players can jump between these platforms, and they must do so in order to avoid being taken off the stage by one of those platforms. After a certain amount of time has passed, the mirror on the pedestal in the background will glow, and the stage will fade to white, before reappearing completly upside-down, and with the whole stage appearing darker and more twisted. Unlike past games, when turned upside-down, the controls remain the same when flipped. However, it is still very disorienting. Eventually, the mirror will glow again, and the stage will return to normal.
